Preventing Emergencies

While it is not possible to foresee every accidental occurrence, a great many emergencies can be avoided or at least kept from becoming real disasters. There are two ways to do this. One is to correct situations that are likely to cause problems and the other is to prepare for emergencies ahead of time. This section discusses some measures that can help prevent emergencies.
